Legislation Proposed in U.S. Senate to Replace Social Security Cards with Plastic Biometric Cards
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has introduced a bill to aid in gaining operational control over the borders of the United States and to strengthen interior immigration laws. This bill will require the Department of Homeland Security to capture biometric data on all foreign nationals legally entering and leaving our borders and identify, track, detain and remove those whose overstay their visas. The bill also mandates an electronic employment verification system to identify unauthorized workers through data-sharing between federal and state agencies. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/thirdfactor-4.gif)
