FaceKey Part of Team to Provide Identification Technology-Based Device for American Soldiers
SAN ANTONIO, TX — FaceKey Corporation, the manufacturer of biometric-based security products utilizing fingerprint and/or facial recognition, announced today that FaceKey is part of Argon ST’s team proposing a handheld miniaturized device providing multi-modal identification technology to support our soldiers.
Dr. Yevgeny B. Levitov, President of FaceKey, noted, “FaceKey is honored to be included as part of the team responding to a Department of Defense Request for Information (RFI) for the development of a tactical biometric device for our American soldiers. Part of FaceKey’s role will be to supply Fingerprint Recognition, as well as Face Capturing and Face Recognition Technology for the miniaturized weapon. Face Capturing Technology quickly and efficiently selects faces the video camera sees, either while they are being recorded or from previously recorded video, and stores them in a database for later use. FaceKey will also be providing their Search and Match Advisor Technology which is able to identify facial images extracted from a video stream or from a watch list database.
According to Dr. Levitov, “Responding to this RFI provides FaceKey with an opportunity to utilize its Face Capturing and Face Recognition Technologies as well as its Search and Match Advisory Technology. It will also utilize FaceKey’s Fingerprint Recognition Technology which is currently being used only in FaceKey’s EntryGuard™ product line. EntryGuard™ is available for commercial and industrial markets to provide access control, time and attendance and muster stations for crisis management.”
“Being part of this prestigious team, FaceKey anticipates, will draw the attention of developers for government and private markets to its portfolio of technologies and patents and lead to opportunities to collaborate in the deployment of Fingerprint and Face Recognition Technologies for new products. As an example, FaceKey is participating in the development of a product which integrates its fingerprint-based EntryGuard™ products to prevent ID fraud and credit card fraud in the bar and restaurant market. FaceKey technologies and patents are available for license to developers and manufacturers requiring the addition of an effective biometric component to their products. FaceKey’s Software Developer Kit makes it possible to integrate FaceKey’s products into existing products or new products to enhance their usability, add value and provide maximum profitability.
