IdentiPHI Introduces Biometric Authentication Solution for Citrix Web Interface Environments

AUSTIN, Texas — IdentiPHI, Inc. announces the release of SAFsolution® Enterprise Citrix Web Authenticator, the latest addition to the SAFsolution family of patented enterprise-grade security solutions. SAFsolution Enterprise Citrix Web Authenticator takes the standard Citrix® web interface authentication process a step further by replacing passwords with a fingerprint biometric credential utilizing SAFsolution’s unique patented technology. Stronger client authentication during a standard login procedure results in an enhanced user experience and expanded security options for Citrix environments, such as seamless integration with Citrix Password Manager™.

SAFsolution Enterprise Citrix Web Authenticator is designed to work easily with existing SAFsolution products in Windows domain environments. The authenticator product provides administrators flexibility to configure the biometric login process and functionality to their needs. With a successful biometric match, the product provides the appropriate user credentials to the Citrix session and automatically logs the user in. An administrator can configure an unsuccessful biometric match to prompt the user to try again, use a password if allowed, or cancel the authentication process for security purposes. Extending biometric authentication to the native Citrix solution provides an enterprise greater identity assurance as users disconnect, roam and reconnect to previous sessions in different locations, all the while maintaining their opened application session.

“Introducing innovative authentication solutions enables IdentiPHI to further establish ourselves as leaders in the identity management and advanced authentication market space,” stated Mark Norwalk, CTO of IdentiPHI. “This newest addition to SAFsolution allows our customers and partners to introduce stronger identity verification for access into their Citrix infrastructure. Enabling fingerprint biometrics with the Citrix web interface environment provides IT security personnel and Citrix administrators a secure alternative for securing their network assets and environments.”

SAFsolution is an industry-leading biometric authentication solution that provides enterprise-level logical access and identity management. Strong authentication methods such as fingerprints, smart cards and other well known biometric form-factors may be used to authenticate users to networked corporate assets and resources. SAFsolution integrates with Microsoft® Windows® Active Directory to boost network and workstation authentication security and simplify or eliminate password management.
