AuthenTec introduces new secure fingerprint sensor
AuthenTec introduced a new fingerprint sensor, touting it as the world’s most secure fingerprint sensor available for the PC market, the AES2810. A fifth generation sensor, the AES2810 is the first match-on sensor solution currently on the market. The AES2810 integrates with a personal data vault contained within the sensor for the secure storage of user names and passwords.
Key features include AlwaysOn user authentication, greater convenience versus passwords, and secure storage of personal information in a hardware-based, single-chip solution. AuthenTec’s AES2810 supports secure pre-boot authentication, fast user switching, website password replacement, file/folder encryption and auto-password generation.
The AES2810 integrates the company’s proprietary TrueFinger anti-spoofing technology, which dynamically measures the properties of the skin during the scanning process. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/thirdfactor-4.gif)
