Precise Biometrics invited to participate in EU project with Sagem Securite

Precise Biometrics has been invited to participate in the EU-financed research project headed by Sagem Securite, TURBINE (TrUsted Revocable Biometric IdeNtitiEs). Precise Biometrics has been chosen to participate in the TURBINE project due to its expertise when it comes to fingerprint recognition and Match-on-Card technology. Precise Biometrics will mainly contribute with its expertise within fingerprint recognition technology and further developments concerning methods of extracting fingerprint information as well as evaluation. The TURBINE project will last during three years, starting in February 2008 and finishing in January 2011. [end] 

Sweden’s Precise Biometrics announced a new solution for Windows 7 logon. Precise BioMatch Logon enables user access to Windows 7 machines via their fingerprint. It also enables the user to personalize access to different files or applications. BioMatch Logon is part of a suite of fingerprint software solutions for the Windows 7 operating system and works with most fingerprint sensors compatible with the Windows Biometric Framework.
