ImageWare Systems secures $3.5 million in new orders

San Diego-based ImageWare Systems has received new orders totaling $3.5 million, the company announced. The orders are from multiple customers for the company’s biometric identity management, secure credential and law enforcement solutions. The largest order is through a systems integrator partner to provide an international transportation security authority credential program. [end] 

Digital Identification Solutions announced it has received purchase orders from three separate driver license programs.

The first of the orders is from L-1 Identity Solutions for the State of Kentucky, and another is from 3M for the State of Arkansas. Furthermore, the State of South Carolina, a customer for several years, has also decided to extend its current install base.

The OBI project will take place by ImageWare operating a forum that will be available to anyone in the open source community.

Hirsch Electronics announced the award of $4 million in orders to supply U.S. Department of Justice agencies with Hirsch security systems. The majority of the revenue associated with the orders was recognized within the second quarter 2010. Notice of the awards was first made public by the General Services Administration pursuant to Federal disclosure regulations.
