Intercede launches MyID 8 Identity and Credential Management System

Intercede Group has launched MyID 8, an Identity and Credential Management System. Features of the system include: support for capturing facial biometrics, fingerprints, document scanning; built-in identity verification with identity background checking and biometric verification services; and simplified physical and logical access control.

Intercede’s MyID manages the devices and credentials used for photo ID badges, physical access to buildings and logical access to PC’s. Available now, MyID is listed on the U.S. GSA Approved Product List (APL) for FIPS 201 certified products. [end]

Intercede releases new service pack for MyID

Intercede has announced the release of Service Pack 1 for its biometric identity and credential management system MyID PIV v9.

The upgrades included in the new service pack are bringing Personal Identification Verification (PIV), PIV-I and PIV-C credential issuance into one system. Intercede awarded e-passport contract

Intercede announced that it was awarded an order for the supply of Intercede MyID Identity and Credential Management software licenses totaling more than $1 million. This contract is in support of the issuance of ICAO compliant smart card travel documents. The country and partner cannot be named at this time.

ImageWare enhances identity management biometrics for points-of-access

Multimodal biometric security provider ImageWare Systems Inc. has released version 2.0 of its Biometric Engine (BE) physical security identification product.

This product is designed for airports, seaports and other critical points-of-access for government and private enterprises. This update takes into account the SAFE Port Act, which requires foreign shippers to secure cargo being shipped to the U.S. and ensure the identity of those loading it. Shippers must manage this by 2013.

Gemalto’s Protiva MedSecure provides a portfolio of authentication software, digital credentials, secure devices, servers and associated services. The Gemalto solution provides a single credential for secure visual identity, as well as physical and logical access to medical facilities and electronic medical records.
