Fingerprint Cards receives $2 million order

Fingerprint Cards AB, a Swedish fingerprint biometrics developer, received an order for more than $2 million from its reseller in China, Hardware & Software Technologies Co. Ltd.

The order is for sensors using the company´s newly developed and more efficient packaging solution, for which volume production will start now in July.

“We have invested more than one million US dollars in this new product and production solution,” says Lennart Carlson, CEO at Fingerprint Cards AB. “The work has taken a long time but we finally have a solution that can be produced in an efficient way and at the same time give us a sound sales margin. It is with great confidence we now look forward to commencement of production and delivery to the market.” [end] 

Digital Identification Solutions announced it has received purchase orders from three separate driver license programs.

The first of the orders is from L-1 Identity Solutions for the State of Kentucky, and another is from 3M for the State of Arkansas. Furthermore, the State of South Carolina, a customer for several years, has also decided to extend its current install base.
