Sex criminal identity companies agree to merge efforts

Monday, July 28, 2008 in News

Biometric Intelligence & Identification Technologies (BI2) and Watch Systems, a software developer, have announced a merging of their respective marketing campaigns involved in the tracking and registration of sex offenders.

BI2’s current system, SORIS, is used to biometrically enroll and identify sex offenders through an iris scan while Watch’s OffenderWatch is a web-based notification system that helps both law enforcement and citizens track sex offenders based off of the registry.

By combining the two efforts, law enforcement agencies are able to seamlessly enroll and track any registered sex offenders while keeping the system accurate, low-cost and in compliance with any legislation regarding the registry. [end]
