MaxID introduces mobile multi-modal biometric devices

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

MaxID, a developer of mobile computing equipment, is unveiling their new mobile identification unit aimed at military and law enforcement agencies at the Biometrics Consortium in Tampa, Fla. The new device, called iDLMax, is designed specifically with these markets in mind, as it has a rugged design to withstand extreme environments and is multi-modal to fit whatever the biometric need of the user may be.

In addition to the iDLMax, MaxID is also unveiling the BHC-100, another rugged, mobile, multi-modal biometric device. The BHC-100 has many of the same capabilities as the iDLMax, however, it also contains a built-in computer that when within range of a wireless network allows on-site enrollment and verification of a user. [end]
