SecurLinx creates facial recognition system to fight check fraud

Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in News

SecurLinx Corporation, a developer of biometric technology, has announced a new technology designed to prevent check fraud called IDTrac. The product is based on the company’s facial recognition system called FaceTrac that matches surveillance footage with a photo located on an ID card shown with bank transactions.

By retaining the footage of a user, if a check comes back as unpaid, IDTrac is able to quickly determine who was responsible and mark that down so that they are unable to do it again. [end]
