ImageWare, Vianix enter license agreement

Vianix, a technology development company, has announced that they have entered into a license agreement with ImageWare, a developer of biometric and identification technologies, to provide ImageWare with MASC as a voice standard for ImageWare’s Mediator Voice Biometric and Language Translation products lines.

Vianix was chosen due to the MASC’s capabilities in noise reduction and compression which is necessary for the military and law enforcement applications that ImageWare is intending for the Mediator products. Additionally, testing with MASC for language translation revealed a positive result. [end] 

Global Rainmakers Inc. (GRI), an intellectual property holder and research and development laboratory, has announced it has entered into an agreement with Holland-based technology distributor and installer Hacousto Group to market the company’s iris-recognition security system to Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Global Rainmakers is hoping the new agreement will allow them to better enter into the European marketplace.

Regal has finalized a share exchange agreement with UHF Logistics Ltd., a Hong Kong-incorporated company responsible for development of RFID solutions for supply chain applications, parking management, the pig breeding industry, and anti-theft and secured access applications.

ActivIdentity Corp., a provider of strong authentication and credential management, and Intercede Ltd., a developer and supplier of identity and credential management software, announced that they have entered into a patent license agreement on mutually acceptable terms.

Digital Identification Solutions announced it has received purchase orders from three separate driver license programs.

The first of the orders is from L-1 Identity Solutions for the State of Kentucky, and another is from 3M for the State of Arkansas. Furthermore, the State of South Carolina, a customer for several years, has also decided to extend its current install base.

ImageWare Systems, a developer of biometric technology, has announced that they are creating a project called the Open Biometrics Initiative (OBI) intending to push biometric technology development in the open source software development environment. The OBI project will take place by ImageWare operating a forum that will be available to anyone in the open source community.
