Valve wants to scan brains for user feedback

Valve, a video game developer, has expressed interest in using brain scans of players of its games to assist game trial reactions from game testers, according to a Shack News article.

Gabe Newell, a co-founder of Valve, feels that simply observing testers has been pushed to its limits and he is very interested in using EEGs to scan the brains of players to better understand how different parts of games are affecting the player. If Valve does go through with this they would gain specific insight into whether or not players are experiencing the intended feelings when they are playing.
