Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in News

Neurotechnology, a developer of biometric solutions, has announced they have been selected by the Bangladesh Army to provide the country with its MegaMatcher software development kit, a multi-modal biometric technology, to help identify duplicate registrations in the voter registry.

The SDK is to become part of the Bangladesh Voter Registration Project that has already registered more than 80 million voters using face and fingerprint technology.

The MegaMatcher software is being reported as a great fit so far as it has found 48 million matches and is a cost-effective solution for the project’s needs. The original biometric samples taken for registration were taken using BIO-key products. [end]
