IdentiPHI announces expanded functionality for biometric product
IdentiPHI, a developer of biometric solutions, has announced expanded functionality for the company’s SAFsolution 5 Enterprise Edition improving capabilities in authentication and remote access. SAFsolution 5 is a multi-modal biometric system that can control access to both computer networks and physical space, through a number of different authentication modes including biometrics and ID cards.
The add-ons for the new version 5.4 of the product include new flexibility for managing additional authentication modes including using up to three authentication factors; smart cards, biometric sample and PINs.
IdentiPHI has also improved remote authentication by allowing users to authenticate over a virtual private network securing their remote connection. Additionally, they have expanded support for biometric devices allowing their customers more choice in what other hardware they choose to incorporate into their SAFsolution 5 system. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/thirdfactor-4.gif)
