Argus tapped for Australian police system upgrade

Argus Solutions, an Australia-based developer of biometric technologies, has been tapped for a quarter million dollar upgrade to the existing system for the NSW Police Force, according to an IT News article. The system is used to compare samples taken from a database of criminals.


The current upgrade is designed to have no down-time for the system and will enable all the law enforcement agencies in Australia that use it to continue to do so uninterrupted. Bruce Lyman, the CEO of Argus, believes that as biometric technologies have proven functional in Australia’s law enforcement, they will be seeing growth in the health care industry next.
