M2SYS, a developer of biometric products, has been tapped by RPGSi Business Solutions, a provider of business technology for Latin America, for integrating their Bio-Plugin fingerprint software with their HealthGest health care software. Additionally, the integrated software will be shipped with M2SYS’ M2-S fingerprint readers.

The HealthGest software is a module that supports health clinic operations and with the authentication behind Bio-Plugin it will now be capable of biometrically protecting specific applications as well as identifying patients and their information. Partners of RPGSi are excited by the new opportunities that biometric capable systems will offer their organizations that are trying to get everything properly converted to digital. [end]

Aethon announced recently that it’s automated tracking and chain-of-custody system - MedEx - is now operational at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
