AOptix receives nearly $13M in financing

AOPtix Technologies, a developer of iris recognition and optical communication solutions, has announced that it has received $12.9 million in funding from California-based venture capital firm Northgate Capital.

AOptix earlier this month launched its first commercial iris reader, the InSight 2 Meter Iris Recognition System. [end]
