M2SYS Technology, a developer of biometric systems, has announced an agreement that sees them providing a fingerprint identification system to the Bwindi Community Hospital, a health care provider to some of the poorest areas of the world. The M2SYS provided system is to be utilized to identify patients in an effort to reduce chances of health hazards due to mis-identification and fraud.
The system being utilized is Bio-Plugin and will be donated free of charge by M2SYS as officials from Bwindi report that it would have been too expensive for them to do otherwise.
