Allscripts, Sandata announce agreement

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Sandata Technologies, a developer of IT solutions for the health care and social services industry, has announced an agreement with Allscripts, a provider of software and IT solutions for physicians and hospitals.

Sandata’s biometric system, Santrax, will be the exclusive time and attendance tracking product offered by Allscripts. Santrax’s basic capabilities track hourly employees work hours through biometric punching in and out via an employee’s voice.

Santrax utilizing voice biometrics is particularly useful to physicians and hospitals as it requires no contact for authentication which otherwise could lead to disease transferring. Other capabilities of the system include alerting administration when a scheduled employee is late and tracking employee tasks. Officials from both companies have reported excitement over the new agreement and the potential opportunities it opens to each. [end]
