PerSay solution implemented by Bank Leumi

Thursday, December 17, 2009

PerSay, a developer of voice-based biometrics, has announced the deployment of one of its voice biometrics systems to Bank Leumi, a international business and private banking company, to be utilized as the first Web-based eBanking site that relies on voice biometrics for password reset functions. While PerSay has seen some success in the adoption of their products for call centers in the financial industry, this is a different application for the company’s technology.

Previously, Bank Leumi customers had to answer a set of questions and wait for a live agent for resetting their password. The new solution from PerSay is expected to be a big money-saving change for the company as the old method had proven costly and inefficient for a 24 hour service. Further, the new system rids Bank Leumi’s customers of the need to divulge personal information over the phone for such transactions. [end]
