Anviz launches new access controls product

Anviz has announced two new professional access controls available in global markets. VF30 professional fingerprint access control and VP30 proximity card access control are the newest editions to Anviz’s Bio-office brand of security systems for small and medium businesses.

The products feature fingerprint identification, smart cards, door locks monitoring, burglar alarm, access control and attendance record.


The VF30 and VP30 are designed for enterprises wanting to stabilize their security applications with something functional for everyone. Both access controls support polyphonic ringtone prompts along with all the operation, multiple languages display and powerful communication functions easy to use in a variety of data management environments.

VF30 and VP30 controls can be used in offices, buildings, warehouses, security organizations, archives, computer rooms and intelligent residential areas. [end] 

The General Services Administration (GSA) has implemented its first cloud-based physical access system at the Neal Smith Federal Building in Des Moines, Iowa.

The GSA contracted with BridgePoint Systems to utilize its TrustAlert Physical Access Control Systems. BridgePoint partnered with EmbarkIT to install the system, which replaced the GSA’s 10-year-old legacy system. The system leverages the GSA’s Kansas City, Missouri-based WAN and remote IT infrastructure, which allows the building to shrink its carbon footprint.

Lumidigm has announced that Anviz Biometric, a fellow developer of biometric technology and partner to the company, will demonstrate Lumidigm’s multispectral fingerprint scanning technology in a number of applications focusing on government and commercial large-scale identification authentication applications.

Identity protection provider Yubico reported a successful 2011, with increased customer growth and revenue across geographical regions.

Yubico increased its customer base by 90% to 18,000 and won new clients, including government contractors, e-governments and cloud service providers. By the end of 2011, it had more than one million users in 100 countries. Additionally, customer and revenue growth increased across Yubico’s geographical segments, with 50% of its revenue now coming from the U.S.

CloudPassage has launched Halo NetSec, a firewall, two-factor authentication product that enables access to virtual servers in the public cloud.

As reported by TechWorld, Halo NetSec covers security needs for services from infrastructure providers, such as Amazon Web Services or Rackspace. Administrators can set up defense parameters without having access to an actual network.
