DigitalPersona to unveil new biometric POS solution

DigitalPersona, a developer of biometric solutions, has announced that the latest version of the popular point-of-sales system for restaurants and other dining establishments, Digital Dining, will be unveiled at the Digital Dining National Dealer Conference in Austin, Texas having DigitalPersona’s fingerprint solution U.are.U integrated.

Being a part of Digital Dinign has been important to DigitalPersona as 80% of users of the system also use the U.are.U fingerprint system it comes with to help minimize buddy punching and cash mishandling. Digital Dining has reported elation over the ability to offer biometrics with its systems as they have become of more and more interest to their customers over the years going as far as to become a standard for the company. [end] 

DigitalPersona announced the release of a new version of its Pro Enterprise software solution, version 5.2.

Among the aspects of the new version DigitalPersona is touting are the extensive number of factors a company utilizing the solution can use to authenticate for access to sensitive information or secured computer stations. These factors include what a user knows, such as PINs or passwords, things you have, such as smart cards, contactless identity cards or Bluetooth devices, and things you are, such as fingerprints.

DigitalPersona announced the release of its new fingerprint feature extraction technology called FingerJetFX. Unlike most releases from the company, however, the FingerJetFX solution has been release with an Open Source Edition in addition to its commercially available edition.

DigitalPersona has announced the launch a solution designed for use in battery-powered mobile biometric identification devices. The new solution, part of DigitalPersona’s U.are.U line called U.are.U 5100 series of fingerprint modules and sensors.

DigitalPersona has announced the Yogurtland restaurant franchises in the U.S., Mexico and Guam have implemented DigitalPersona’s U.are.U fingerprint solution.

The new solution serves multiple purposes for the franchise locations helping them meet Payment Card Industry compliance regulations, reduce payroll fraud and eliminate the need for managers to remember system passwords or to keep track of their swipe cards.
