Fujitsu to demo LOGONDIRECTOR

Fujitsu Frontech North America, a developer of biometric systems and solutions, has announced it will demonstrate their PalmSecure LOGONDIRECTOR palm vein authentication system at IBM Pulse 2010 expo and conference later this month in Las Vegas.

The PalmSecure LOGONDIRECTOR is designed for integration into IBM’s Tivoli Access Manager for Single Sign-On providing organizations with a vascular biometrics option for logical access control single-sign-on to help do away with passwords or tokens. [end] 

AuthenTec has announced its AES2660 smart sensor has been incorporated into technology developer Fujitsu’s new STYLISTIC Q550 tablet computer.

Further, the sensor, which has been embedded onto the back of the tablet and runs off the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, offers one-touch security that eases its use to enhance security for mobile computing. Among the reasons AuthenTec’s sensor was deemed good fit for Fujitsu’s needs was the low-power and low cost for integration as well as its many packaging options.

Fujitsu has announced it will showcase its biometric physical access control system at the 2011 International Security Conference and Expositions (ISC West) April 6 though 8 in Las Vegas. The system, called PalmEntry Physical Access Control, utilizes the company’s PalmSecure palm vein pattern technology to authenticate users and allow authorized personnel access to secured areas.

AuthenTec has announced that its AES850 smart fingerprint sensor has been integrated into a new Fujitsu smart phone, the REGZA Phone T-01D.

With AuthenTec’s AES850, the Android 2.3-based phone can be locked and unlocked via a quick scan of the user’s fingerprint. The sensor can also be used to control access to applications on the phone as well as provide greater security for NFC-enabled mobile payments.

The program, called PalmPartner, is designed specifically for resellers, technology-developer partners and system integrators for the PalmSecure product line and provides them with additional support in education, technical, marketing and sales support.
