IriTech unveils new technology

IriTech, a provider of iris-based biometric products, has announced the addition of new security technology to its IriCAMM line of iris capture cameras allowing for encryption of captured data on the device itself.

The new technology will allow for more secure communication of people’s personal biometric data to the servers for processing. Other extra security aspects to the IriCAMM products include unique digital signatures for each camera and administrative certificates to track or prevent fraudulent activity and tampering. [end] 

Global Rainmakers (GRI) has partnered with Tech Imagine, a document scanner technology company, to provide iris-based biometric solutions to Tech Imagine’s banking industry customers in Latin America and the Caribbean. The hope for Tech Imagine is to establish pilot programs utilizing GRI’s iris recognition technology at banks that are currently using Tech Imagine technology such as their check scanners.

AOptix Technologies has announced the redesign of its InSight VM series of iris recognition systems. The redesign moved all the internal components of the system to align vertically leading to a slimmer version of the original system.

Sarnoff Corp. aims to make iris technology easier to use without having to stop and look at a camera, says David Cheskis from the iris vendor. “We can do 30 people per minute without constraining them,” he says.

Black Diamond Advanced Technology ha a new, rugged and mobile identity management system capable of multimodal biometric collection. Called BioTRAC, it features multiple fingerprint sensors as well as a multifunction camera with barcode reading capabilities and a dual iris camera system. The camera, developed by Iritech, can capture two irises in less than five seconds.
