Ayonix promoting PalmSecure device

Japanese security and biometric technology developer Ayonix has introduced its new palm-vein scanner called PalmSecure.

PalmSecure operates as a contactless biometric authentication device by utilizing near-infrared light to take a picture of the unique vein layout in an individual’s hand and subsequently authenticate their identity. The contactless, and consequent hygienic, aspect of it has Ayonix expecting popularity in the health care sector for their device. [end]
