ScriptRx and Digital Persona partner for health care solution

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

DigitalPersona, a developer of fingerprint-based biometric technology solutions has partnered up with ScriptRx, a developer of various health care technology solutions, to integrate DigitalPersona’s U.are.U fingerprint readers into ScriptRx’s Electronic Medical Record and Discharge System for Emergency Rooms and Urgent Care Centers.

The final solution is a kiosk that eases and biometrically secures regular tasks physicians have to complete regularly such as charting medical records, accurate issuance of discharge instructions, prescription writing and accessing archived medical records as well as allowing for one-touch access to various applications medical personnel need to use.

The solution offers each hospital’s IT staff the choice between utilizing a number of accepted hardware platforms to host the system as well as one developed for ScriptRx’s system. Additionally, any health care institution can setup multiple kiosks that are capable of accessing the same information despite the kiosk’s location. Officials from both ScriptRx and DigitalPersona are elated with the outcome of their partnership that offers health care professionals a solution that is simple and fast as well as being amply secured. [end]
