Black Diamond develops new multimodal solution

Black Diamond Advanced Technology ha a new, rugged and mobile identity management system capable of multimodal biometric collection. Called BioTRAC, it features multiple fingerprint sensors as well as a multifunction camera with barcode reading capabilities and a dual iris camera system. The camera, developed by Iritech, can capture two irises in less than five seconds.

BioTRAC was commissioned by Northrup Grumman who created its operational software. Field testing of the units is underway. [end] 

Northrup Grumman announced the release of BioTRAC, a portable and mobile identity authentication device that collects biometric data and authenticates the individual in field-based operations. The device is manufactured by Black Diamond Advanced Technology and is reported to be ideally suited for use by law enforcement, homeland security and other military personnel.
