DocuSign and Authentify have announced the two companies have integrated their biometric solutions into a two-factor solution. The new option with both modes of biometric authentication is available on DocuSign’s recent release.
One of the benefits DocuSign officials are citing to the new, more secure offering is that signing a document now requires both Web-based and phone–based authentication of the signer allowing for a much more solid audit trail when necessary. While the entire service is being offered by DocuSign, for the Authentify’s phone-based authentication to be used, a user plugs in the phone number it wants to be called for authentication and Authentify’s system is brought in to make the call and authenticate the person answering the call. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/thirdfactor-4.gif)
