Global Rainmakers licenses technology to APL

Global Rainmakers Inc. (GRI) has announced it has reached a channel distribution agreement with APL Access & Security, a developer of access control and other security technology, for APL to resell and integrate GRI’s iris technology into its access control solutions. The agreement would potentially see Global Rainmakers’ technology in use by many of APL’s exiting clients which include both government and enterprise organizations.

The agreement will further see APL employees traveling to GRI’s headquarters to be trained on use, installation, integration and maintenance of Global Rainmakers’ technology. [end]

UGA police investigating fake ID operations

Just as the University of Georgia police were ending an investigation into a sophisticated fake ID ring, another student dealing in fake driver licenses came to light. The original ring, apparently run by students at the University of Georgia and Gainesville State College, had distributed more than 1,000 fake IDs to students at the two schools.
