DigitalPersona has announced it has been selected by Washington Radiology Associates (WRA) to integrate DigitalPersona’s biometric hardware and software with WRA’s Radiology Information System (RIS).
The resulting solution, which utilizes the DigitalPersona Pro authentication software and U.are.U Fingerprints Readers, allows users of the system to replace usernames and passwords with a swipe of a finger to login to the system while also providing administrators with the ability to track user logins.
As the RIS previously required a radiologist to enter his username and password each time he performed a diagnostic imaging exam, a number that surpasses 30,000 each month for WRA’s outpatient offices, a secure solution that allowed streamlining of the process was necessary. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/thirdfactor-4.gif)
