Ceelox announces biometric add-on for OpenID

Ceelox, a developer of biometric solutions, has announced that they have developed a biometric login option to the online single sign-in service OpenID.

The new biometric solution, called Ceelox ID Online, will enable a users of OpenID to use fingerprint-based authentication to access personal accounts for sites such as online banking, investment sites, internet auction sites and social networking sites they have linked up to their OpenID account.

As OpenID doesn’t specify requirements for how a user authenticates, the protocol is already open to users utilizing biometrics for their authentication. [end] 

Ceelox has announced that it has developed a new solution for biometric-based login to cloud-based applications.

The solution, called Ceelox ID Online, utilizes their own fingerprint authentication in conjunction with OpenID protocol to allow for login to any of the accounts that OpenID services such as Facebook, Yahoo!, Google and many others.
