Thursday, May 12, 2011

Lumidigm has announced that Anviz Biometric, a fellow developer of biometric technology and partner to the company, will demonstrate Lumidigm’s multispectral fingerprint scanning technology in a number of applications focusing on government and commercial large-scale identification authentication applications.

The demonstration is occurring with Anviz’s OA1000 Series fingerprint terminals, which utilize Lumidigm’s imaging technology.

In addition to simply playing up the technology as a viable option for any secure identification verification needs, Anviz will be playing up the Lumidigm multispectral technologies ability to authenticate subsurface images, exceptionally dry or worn samples, damaged fingerprints and samples from the elderly and samples covered in dirt or other substances.

Beyond the Lumidigm technology, Anviz’s terminals also integrate RFID, camera, wireless communication and multimedia technology. [end]
