Employee project clock version 7 released

Cybermatrix has released version 7 of its Employee Project Clock application. The application which tracks employees work time via computer terminal makes it easier for employees to accurately account for work hours. The new application has several enhancements to it but the most notable is the addition of biometric check-ins.

The company has been trying to find a way for employees to quickly and securely log in to work without other employees logging their friends in. With the new fingerprint biometric log-in the employee must actually be present to log in and account for his or her work time.

Employee Project Clock is available for Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003 server, Vista, 2008 Server and Windows 7 operating systems. [end]

Hooters adds biometrics to prevent loss

Hooters Restaurants has implemented biometric fingerprint readers as a means to prevent loss in transaction and payroll fraud at the restaurant level.

Hooters contracted with DigitalPersona Inc. to install the provider’s U.are.U fingerprint readers with ITWercs Point-of-Sale software in restaurant units. Hooters employees use the readers to authenticate transactions and clock in and out for shifts.
