Authasas adds biometric security to Oracle

Authasas, a subsidiary of identification authentication solutions developer BioXS, has announced it has integrated its Advanced Authentication version 4 into the Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On solution.

The resulting solution, which received Oracle Validated Integration status, is capable of replacing a user’s multiple usernames and passwords with a single authentication method that is capable of securely accessing accounts through using biometric fingerprint readers, contactless smart card readers, security questions and a USB flash drive with included PIN. [end] 

The U.S. Social Security Administration contracted with Experian to add fraud prevention services for secure authentication to access the new online Social Security Statement.

The new online Social Security Statement provides Social Security earnings and benefit information, as well as estimates to help people plan for retirement. It also gives estimates for disability and survivors benefits. With the online statement, users can see whether their earnings are accurately posted to their Social Security records.
