Nuance tapped for voice biometric portion of FST21 solution

Nuance Communications, a developer of voice-recognition solutions, has announced that two of its voice-recognition technologies are being integrated into a physical access control solution from security and automation technology developer FST21.

The Nuance solutions, speech engine Nuance Recognizer and verification solution Nuance Verifier, are being incorporated into FST21’s SafeRise, which utilizes a user’s face and voice to replace keys to unlock doors to enter buildings or sensitive areas within buildings. [end] 

DigitalPersona Inc. released a new version of its DigitalPersona Pro Enterprise software that includes facial recognition as a method for authentication.

Facial recognition can now be combined with fingerprint biometrics, passwords, PINs, proximity cards, smart cards and OATH tokens for a multi-factor authentication solution. Policy creation and enforcement works through a client’s existing Active Directory infrastructure.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has added interactive voice response technology (IVR) from Angel, a provider of cloud-based customer engagement management products, for its LexisNexis IVR on Demand for Identity Proofing and Voice Biometrics product.

AGNITIO announced the launching of KIVOX mobile, a product for secure authentication in mobile devices using a person’s voice.

During the Voice Biometric Conference held in New York, AGNITIO showed the capabilities of the new software that is able to perform a voice authentication on Android smart phones or tablets without being connected to a network.

CSC has partnered with identity authentication technology and services provider Daon to produce a biometric multifactor authentication service for the banking industry. The product, called ConfidentID Mobile, provides in and out-of-band identity authentication for transactions in multiple channels, including online and mobile.
