DigitalPersona, Quest partner for new enterprise solution

DigitalPersona has announced a partnership with information technology software developer Quest Software to integrate DigitalPersona Pro with Quest Defender for an authentication solution.

The new product is designed for use by small to medium-sized businesses primarily as a logical access control solution and enables two-factor authentication that includes one time passwords with either biometrics or smart cards.


One of the chief reasons behind the integration of the two solutions is to enable users in the small to medium-sized businesses to forgo the utilization of hardware tokens and separate token applications to access web-based areas such as virtual private networks and Web mail. [end] 

DigitalPersona announced the release of a new version of its Pro Enterprise software solution, version 5.2.

Among the aspects of the new version DigitalPersona is touting are the extensive number of factors a company utilizing the solution can use to authenticate for access to sensitive information or secured computer stations. These factors include what a user knows, such as PINs or passwords, things you have, such as smart cards, contactless identity cards or Bluetooth devices, and things you are, such as fingerprints.

DigitalPersona Inc. released a new version of its DigitalPersona Pro Enterprise software that includes facial recognition as a method for authentication.

Facial recognition can now be combined with fingerprint biometrics, passwords, PINs, proximity cards, smart cards and OATH tokens for a multi-factor authentication solution. Policy creation and enforcement works through a client’s existing Active Directory infrastructure.
