ScaleMatrix and Digitus partner for cloud-based solution

ScaleMatrix, a provider of cloud-based IT services, has announced a partnership with biometric solutions developer Digitus Biometrics that will see the development of new biometric security for ScaleMatrix’s physical data centers.

The upgrade will move from proximity cards, which can only tell what card was used to gain access to secured areas and server racks, to a fingerprint-based physical access control solution that will acknowledge a specific person and do away with the possibility of a lost or stolen access card allowing a thief access to a protected area. [end] 

ASAP Systems released the beta version of it cloud-based asset tracking software solution: Passport Asset.

The cloud-based asset tracking solution will enable customers can manage their inventory anywhere they have an internet connection on any type of device, whether it is a tablet, smart phone or a mobile barcode or RFID scanner.

BT and Hitachi Europe Ltd. announced that they are jointly designing an identity management solution for the financial services market. In this move, BT is introducing BT Unified Trading federation, a cloud-based trust utility for secure identity exchange and will incorporate Hitachi’s Finger Vein Authentication Engine and technology to offer biometric security capabilities.
