ScaleMatrix, a provider of cloud-based IT services, has announced a partnership with biometric solutions developer Digitus Biometrics that will see the development of new biometric security for ScaleMatrix’s physical data centers.
The upgrade will move from proximity cards, which can only tell what card was used to gain access to secured areas and server racks, to a fingerprint-based physical access control solution that will acknowledge a specific person and do away with the possibility of a lost or stolen access card allowing a thief access to a protected area. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/thirdfactor-4.gif)
