Wavestore and ABG partner for new facial recognition solution

Wavestore, a developer of video recording solutions, has announced a partnership agreement with biometrics developer Airborne Biometrics Group (ABG) that will see its facial recognition technology incorporated into Wavestore’s product offerings.

ABG’s FaceFirst software will be utilized with Wavestore’s surveillance technology to enable a solution that can alert security or police personnel when a registered person of interest such as a known criminal, suspected terrorist, VIP or employee enters the view of the cameras so that predetermined action can take place. [end] 

DigitalPersona Inc. released a new version of its DigitalPersona Pro Enterprise software that includes facial recognition as a method for authentication.

Facial recognition can now be combined with fingerprint biometrics, passwords, PINs, proximity cards, smart cards and OATH tokens for a multi-factor authentication solution. Policy creation and enforcement works through a client’s existing Active Directory infrastructure.

FingerTec USA has expanded its line of fingerprint time clock software systems with the Face ID 3, which utilizes facial recognition capability.

Face ID 3 is a contact-free computer timeclock that can be used in business or home environments. The system weighs about four pounds and uses facial recognition plus a network of infrared scanners for a surface texture analysis (STA) algorithm.

CSC has partnered with identity authentication technology and services provider Daon to produce a biometric multifactor authentication service for the banking industry. The product, called ConfidentID Mobile, provides in and out-of-band identity authentication for transactions in multiple channels, including online and mobile.
