Acumen Data Systems, a developer of workforce management and business automation solutions, has announced the development of a new biometric time and attendance system with a variety of capabilities and uses.
The time clock, called the GT550, operates via a touchscreen and utilizes fingerprint biometrics for employee authentication.
Beyond the biometric and touchscreen functionality of the new solution, the GT550 offers Power-over-Ethernet for easier integration and additional authentication methods of proximity cards, bar code readers, magnetic stripe readers and PIN.
The system also supports audio and video communication enabling an additional clock authentication mode or as a communication tool that allows employees to email messages to administrators or managers through the systems employee self-service functionality. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/thirdfactor-4.gif)
