BIO-key International and S.I.C. Biometrics scrap merger, form partnership

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Biometric identification companies BIO-key International and S.I.C. Biometrics have decided not to pursue a merger and instead have formed a reseller partnership agreement to realize more business opportunities.

This partnership enables the firms to resell each other’s products, services and solutions. BIO-key specializes in biometric finger identification technology, while S.I.C. Biometrics produces software and hardware biometric solutions. The partnership covers mobile and physical access hardware solutions for iOS, Android and WinMobile smartphones and tablets.

It’s hoped the agreement will expand their presence in the market by increasing opportunities for new projects and partnerships for their clients in the private and public sectors. [end]
