Debbie Low is a prominent leader in Canadian high-performance sport, serving as the President and CEO of the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) since 2005. Under her guidance, CSIO has evolved from a modest team of five into a comprehensive, facility-based institute with over 50 full-time staff across three locations, including the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Her visionary leadership has positioned Ontario as a national frontrunner in athlete development and performance support.

Debbie’s extensive experience encompasses roles such as Executive Director of Parasport Ontario and Director of Sport for Toronto’s 2008 Olympic Bid. She has also represented Canada as Chef de Mission at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games and Assistant Chef de Mission at the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games. Her commitment to inclusivity and athlete empowerment has earned her numerous accolades, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and recognition as one of Canada’s Top 20 Most Influential Women in Sport.

As a member of the Third Factor Sport Advisory Board, Debbie contributes her strategic insights and extensive experience in sport leadership, further enriching our programs and initiatives aimed at fostering excellence in high-performance environments.
